COMPELLING EVIDENCE
Let me be quite clear – I don’t care if New Era editor Ernie Schreiber is in a “lather.” Many things I have posted prior to stating that Janet Kelley was posting on the Talkback Board should have put him in a “lather” because he has a lousy newspaper. I mean a really, really lousy newspaper.
I talked to Ernie by phone this morning. He told me she did not post on Talkback. In fact, he told me that she “wouldn’t know how to do it.” I told him that was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. He said, “She never, ever would log on. That would not happen.” He said what I posted was “unfair, untrue and inaccurate.” He said he has “100% confidence in her.” He said “It can’t be true.” He said, “I dare you to put up proof.”
I wasn’t going to – but I don’t have time for an editor who is either that stupid or pretending to be that stupid or just a flat-out liar. I wasn’t going to post it because I didn’t want her to lose her job. But she won’t. Schreiber will deny it and say it’s not proof and all will return to normal at the New Error where Kelley will write questionable stories (see “Kelley and Cooley Lie” below on this website) and Schreiber will continue to write “Angel of Death” editorials. And you can certainly argue it’s not conclusive – but it absolutely is to me.
I attended the preliminary hearing of Micah Stewart for the murder of Cortney Fry. Janet Kelley, Brett Lovelace and a female reporter for WGAL attended as members of the press. The Stewart and Fry families were present but the Stewart family was sequestered and left the courtroom immediately because they testified before the grand jury.
The next day, Kelley wrote the article, “DA not seeking death for Stewart.” I posted the following on Talkback under the article:
"There was nothing about ‘thrown’ in yesterday's hearing. His ‘step-mother’ Angelica Rivera said he said he took her ‘through the window.’ By the way, Ms. Rivera is not a believable witness, to put it mildly!"
A poster asked why I didn’t think she was believable and I posted this:
"Oh, my. An attorney could make mincemeat out of her. Stewart's attorney did yesterday to some degree. And now what she said is on record and under oath. She never gave the same answer twice. Her answers and stories constantly changed. The DA led her. Stewart's attorney called him on it several times and District Justice Herman agreed with Stewart's lawyer. To put it mildly, the woman is a disaster."
Several posts later this was posted:
"Obviously, it is terrible that James and his mother did not come forward sooner. However, they did come forward. They could have kept Micah's terrible secret and we may have never learned exactly what happened to Cortney. Their testimony appears to be the most compelling evidence against Micah (at least from what was presented at the hearing). As for Rivera not being a credible witness, I thought she was very compelling. The woman has absolutely no reason to fabricate testimony implicating Micah. She considers him to be her stepson and appears to be very close to him. And let's not forget that apparently the grand jury found her testimony to be credible."
That is Janet Kelley. Can I prove it 100 percent? No. Do I believe it is Janet Kelley posting? Yes, 100 percent. There is no one else who was in the courtroom that it could be – other than Brett Lovelace. And, besides having a Talkback name with the wrong gender (which I know anyone can do), I do not believe it is Lovelace. From other posts by this person it is also obvious it is not the WGAL reporter. There is no one else it could be. It is Janet Kelley.
One note – none of her posts in any way cross the line or are inappropriate the way Quinn’s were. The above post, in fact, is about as close as she has come to crossing that line. As I stated yesterday, I think the reporters should be permitted to post as long as they use their real name.
Tomorrow, for sure, the contest rules for “I want to be Marv Adams for a day!” will be posted.
