~ And Harper Says You’re Stupid! ~

IS KIRK MR. SIX?

     Sorry, Mr. Kirk.  No, you don’t have a copyright on this photo.  You use it in your profile on a public forum.  Anyone can take it and reprint it.  That’s just the way it is and the “danger” of the internet.  And just why are you so touchy about it in the first place?

    I was having some fun on Reporter Talk, (click here), and a poster suggested Kirk and the ad guy for Six Flags were one and the same.  He posted both photos side by side.  There is an uncanny resemblance as you can see!  Well, Kirk complained and his picture came down and this replaced it:  “Edit: Copyrighted picture removed by request.”

    If you use your picture on a public forum, Mr. Kirk, it’s no longer a “copyrighted” picture.  You may be able to copyright your website and the photos there, but not when you use it in a public forum.  And I also posted this: 

    “By the way, Hong Kong, you are dead on! That is David Kirk! No wonder he has ugly pro-cc items for sale. He doesn't care. He's making a fortune on his ads and hates the LNP because they hate gays. Wow! He's secretly sabotaging the whole thing!”

    You decide if they’re ugly or not (click here).  He does much nicer, classy and quality merchandise for his “GayRights” line on Café Press (click here).   So, what gives Kirk?  And why are you so touchy?

“OPERATED CORRECTLY”

    The Lancaster Newspapers have not said one word about Commissioner Molly Henderson’s extremely important email regarding the convention center.  See below on this website and click here to read the entire email and the important attached documents.

    “Editor’s note:  The Intelligencer Journal’s editorial position on the convention center is ours alone.  We believe a convention/conference center can work if operated correctly.”

    This was the response to a letter to the editor in today’s Intell.  That is just such a lie and so absurd it’s not only unconscionable but laughable as well.  The paper should be screaming for the LCCCA to be investigated. 

    Their response was prompted by a letter printed in today’s Intell, part of which read:

    “Normally, of course, this corrupted lawmaking process would be fiercely attacked by an independent press.  But in this case, the press isn’t independent.  Its objectivity was compromised as soon as Lancaster Newspapers Inc. assumed a direct financial interest in the convention center project.  There was never a change Penn Square Partners would run up against a hostile or even critical press.”

    This may signal and end to the Lancaster Newspapers.  Seriously, they simply can not continue to operate as a legitimate news organization.  They have lost all of their integrity. You can not believe a word any of the three papers print.  They are all owned by the same person who is a partner in the PSP, all the papers use the same building and computers and rewrite each others stories, with quotes, without giving the other paper credit.  The convention center may well signal their end.

HARPER SAYS YOU’RE STUPID

    I’m going to look at the changing world of journalism later and this quote by Ron Harper of the 5thestate.com on the Reporter Talk Board under “The LOL Boss is a Super Jerk!” thread:

    “If you go to my site, you will see that I use public documents and show my readers how conclusions were reached. My readership is knowledgeable and intelligent and appreciates the documentation. Becky's publication is more along the lines of blog therapy and relies on her own point-of-view regarding issues - especially ones involving men/women.”

    Well, I guess my readers are just dang stupid (sorry about that, folks).  And apparently Harper has given every one of his readers an IQ test.  Or maybe he is really high tech and has a device that tests their IQ before he allows them on his site!  You are beginning to give blogs and internet journalism a bad name, Harper.  More later.
