BULLIES AND QUOTES
"YOUR THEME SONG"
Harper, get lost. Seriously. Don’t email me again. You're starting to weird me out. “It's just no good anymore since he went away. Now I spend my time just making blogs of yesterday. One is the loneliest number.” That’s cute, Harper, but shouldn’t you be out video-taping someone and not sending me poorly rewritten songs? A writer to today’s Sunday News says this about Harper, “He is simply a bully that hides behind a cause, making himself an embarrassment and a liability to it. If a cause is true and just, there is no need for theatrics and manipulation.”
PLAY WITH THE BIG BOYS AND GIRLS
Marv Adams is on vacation again? His wife certainly wasn’t as Helen Colwell Adams wrote most of the local articles in today’s Sunday News. But you can tell he wrote the editorial “Bully pulpit.” “As usual, it’s all the newspaper’s fault,” Marv whines. As a Talkbacker said after last week’s column, “Mr Adams - your columns have become vitriolic.” They certainly have. Have you ever heard the expression, ”The customer is always right,” Marv? Editors don’t insult their readers. You’re selling a product, Marv.
The poster continued, “It's time for you to put ‘Dear Abby’ to bed and come out to play with the big boys and girls.” Can you do that, Marv? Or will you continue to write vicious pieces like a cornered attack dog?
IF ELECTED, I WILL DO NOTHING
I really enjoy this quote from Republican candidate for governor, Lynn Swann, in today’s Sunday News, “I’m not really concerned about policies and issues. What I’m concerned about is people. Policies and issues mean nothing if they’re not impacting you in a positive manner.”
ONLY QUAKERS
“Do Churchgoers live longer?” was the ridiculous lead story in yesterday’s New Era. Geez, editor Ernie. Everyone knows the answer to that. It depends on which church.
HYPERMAMMIFEROUS
Finally, the writers at MSN must read my site! Yesterday, they ran a “cautionary tale” for Dolly Parton as pictured above. This is just good writing and a really bad hair style. Have a happy Sunday!
CRAPTACULAR
“Wigging Out: Make no mistake. We adore Dolly Parton. She's proudly turned looking cheap and tacky into an art form. That said, neither "cheap" nor "tacky" wants their good name sullied through association with the kooky costume the hypermammiferous icon sports at the "9 to 5" DVD launch. Dolly skips right over kitschy and dives straight into craptacular by pairing Hobbit-sized, glitter-adorned pants and a matching super-reinforced vest-shirt with the always deadly combo of opaque panty hose and open-toe shoes. But her white fright of an ensemble pales in comparison to what lies above: an electrified tress tragedy of such epic proportions that it should serve as a cautionary tale to anyone considering using a Flowbee while sitting in the tub.”

WE’RE MAD AS HELL
"There's a lot of women with a lot of anger, and they are letting it go," Hilker said. "It's not just husbands beating up wives; women can fly off, too."
These are the last two sentences in the article I referenced yesterday that was posted on Talkback (click here).
A poster asked why women are so angry. There are a lot of reasons women are angry and I’ll go over them in the next few weeks. For today, this is one of the reasons we are so angry:
“Let me give you a totally hypothetical situation…If you subsequently found out that she had been teasing him beforehand on several occasions, fully aware of his attraction to her and playing the ‘you can look but not touch’ mind games some women play, and she was scantily clad that evening and had greeted him flirtatiously would you still think so harshly of him?”
This was posted under the first article about the police officer being charged with indecent assault and I quoted it previously in my article below on this site titled “INDECENT ASSAULTS.”
Twenty-five years ago this mentality was why prosecutors could not get rape convictions. And this is still going on? Where does this thinking come from? Is the type of woman being described above your mother, your sister, your friend, your co-worker, your female church member or your female neighbor? Does the “woman” who posted this behave in this manner? She claims to be married but does she tease her husband’s friends and play mind games with them and dress in skimpy clothing around them and flirt with them? Is that why she would post something like this? Is that the way her mother, her sisters, her friends, her co-workers, her female church members and her female neighbors behave?
Well, you guessed it. I’m mad as hell. I will have much more on all of this later.
IT’S NOT DEBATABLE
Please remember that one Democrat candidate for the Senate, Bob Casey, is anti-abortion. He and two other Democrats are in the primary race to run against Republican Rick Santorum. Chuck Pennacchio and Alan Sandals are Democrats who are pro-choice and running against Casey. The three democrats will hold their first of two debates tonight at Slippery Rock University. It will be televised on Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), which is available throughout the state. It can also be viewed on line at http://www.pcntv.com/. The second debate will be in Lancaster on April 19 at Franklin & Marshall College. Pennacchio’s website is here. Sandals' website is here.
